Dr. Bhanage qualified as a Neurosurgeon in 1984 from University of Bombay and has considerable experience in neurosurgery having performed more than 13,000 major surgeries since. His particular area of interest and speciality is "Neuro-oncology" -treatment of tumors involving the brain and spinal cord. He has been instrumental in setting up the Radiosurgery Department for treatment of brain lesions like tumors, arteriovenous malformations etc with Stereotactic Radiosurgery and Radiotherapy. He is available in the Cancer Centre on Mondays and Fridays from 10:30am to 12:30pm, and on all weekdays from 3pm to 4pm by prior appointment.
