v Dr. K.B Grant, Chairman & Managing Trustee Ruby Hall Clinic

Dr K B Grant is the founder, Chairman and Managing Trustee of Grant Medical Foundation, the institution that manages Ruby Hall Clinic. Being the Head and Chief Physician & Cardiologist of Ruby Hall Clinic, this vivacious eighty-five year old Cardiologist is one of the first MDs in Pune.

Dr. Grant started Ruby Hall Clinic in 1959 with 4 beds and has been the driving force since then. His vision and dedication has facilitated Ruby Hall Clinic's multifold growth from a 4 beds nursing home to a 550-bed hospital.

Dr K. B Grant is a pioneer in the field of medicine in many ways. He was instrumental in bringing the latest technology to Pune - Cobalt, Angiography, Angioplasty, CT Scan, MRI Scan Bypass Surgery and the latest addition being the linear accelerator with Image Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT) -the only one in the whole of India and southeast Asia

 

v Mr. P.K.Grant, Dy.Managing Trustee, Ruby Hall Clinic

 

DR. P. K. GRANT is the Chief Cardiologist and Deputy Managing Trustee at the Ruby Hall Clinic, Cardiac Centre, Pune. The Ruby Hall Cardiac Centre was established 18 years ago and today it is one of the pioneer Cardiac Institutions in India. The Institution has done over 80,000 angiographies, 25,000 angioplasties and 25,000 Open Heart Surgeries including coronary bypass surgery. The Ruby Hall Cardiac Centre does more coronary interventional procedures like angioplasty & stenting than any other institution in India, an achievement of which Pune City is proud of.

Over 15 International Cardiology meetings have been held at Ruby Hall Clinic organised by Dr. P. K. GRANT. Dr. Grant organized two-world congress in Mumbai one in 1999 and the second in Feb 2005. The 1st World Congress of Interventional Cardiology in Mumbai. Thirty four angioplasties were done in Pune and beamed live to audience of around 3000 Cardiologists in Mumbai. On the 14th of January 2005 Dr.Grant performed Angioplasties in Pune and then beamed them live to Singapore in the World Conference of Cardiology. This is the first time that Pune or any other Indian city was connected to an International city and four angioplasties were demonstrated. Dr. Grant has 45 international publications to his name. He has recently been nominated on the National Board of Examinations as Chief Examiner in Post Graduate Interventional Cardiology. Dr Grant has also started a number of New Projects and has set up Diagnostic Centres fully equipped with CT scan and Colour Doppler in Karad,Phaltan, Ambernath and Aurangabad. He also has an MRI in Satara .He has also taken over the Terna Medical College which is a 500 bedded Hospital.Dr Grant also manages the Amby Valley Medical project at Lonavla. Recently he purchased the AL HYATT hospital in BAHARAIN and is the first Indian to purchase a hospital abroad .

Ruby Hall Clinic has helped several poor patients for Cardiac surgery. In fact, in last two years more than 400 Open Heart Surgeries have been performed practically free of cost. This year 200 such surgeries have been proposed. Despite his hectic schedule Dr. P. K. Grant has done over 1000 Free Clinics in cities like Sholapur, Ahmednagar, Baramati, Manchar, etc. and examines patients free of cost. All investigations are done at an extremely concessional rate. He has been doing this charity work for over 12 years now. Because of the work he has been doing Dr.P.K.Grant has been awarded two National awards, one is the Rashtriya Samman award and the other is the Manibhai Desai Rashtraseva award. He was also given the Lions Yuva Seva Ratna Award by the Lions Clubs International, District 323-D2

 
v Mr. Bomi Bhote- CEO, Ruby Hall Clinic

Mr.Bomi Bhote is the Chief Executive Officer of Ruby Hall Clinic. A mechanical engineering graduate from Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani, Mr. Bhote proceeded to earn a degree in International trade in Rotterdam, Holland in 1985 for which, he was awarded a scholarship by the World Trade Organization (WTO).

In 1986, The Indian Government honored Mr. Bomi Bhote with "Bharat Gaurav" for his invaluable contribution towards international trade. Mr. Bhote started his professional career with TELCO in 1975 as a management trainee.

He worked with Telco for 15 years before joining General Electric (GE) as a Vice President for their operations in India. After working for 8 years with GE he was offered to take charge of Ruby Hall Clinic as their Chief Executive Officer in 1997
